Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), which has assisted in decreasing corruption by immediately transferring money to the bank accounts of low-income beneficiaries, is one of PM Modi's digital programs' greatest successes. However, the Aadhaar program's deployment, which has given each Indian resident a distinct universal identity, is what made DBT possible. If a person has an Aadhaar card, they can now take advantage of government benefit programs more readily.
The Digital India program has provided safe online access to information services, improved digital literacy, and connected rural areas with technology-based infrastructure in order to promote inclusive development. The program's extraordinary success has mostly benefited the ITeS industry, but as internet use and e-commerce have increased, so has demand for ITeS services, which has increased employment and had a significant positive impact on the economy.
Creating a skilled workforce has been made possible by programs like Skill India and the Talent Acquisition Platform. Positive results from the emphasis on technical and soft skills training can be seen in the increased employment prospects in the IT/ITeS sectors. A competitive edge for the country in the global digital economy has also been helped by policy changes and incentives to encourage digitalization.
