Rangsons Aviation (RAPL), based in Mysuru, and the global firm Oversat are ready to announce a partnership at Aero India 2025, which aims to advance satellite communication technology.
The collaboration will mainly focus on developing advanced Luneberg lens-based multi-beam antennas, enabling simultaneous tracking of several Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites.
The organization comes at a crucial time when global players such as SpaceX, OneWeb, and Amazon are rapidly deploying LEO satellite constellations. While these satellites offer enhanced performance over traditional Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO) systems, current ground-based infrastructure has struggled to keep pace, creating a significant bottleneck in the sector.
“Our partnership with Oversat is a step toward bridging this critical gap. With innovations like multi-beam antenna technology, we are shaping the future of Satcom (satellite communications) — one that is more resilient, efficient, and accessible for diverse applications across land, sea, and air,” Pavan Ranga, managing director, Rangsons Aerospace, said.
“At Aero India 2025, Rangsons will showcase its broader portfolio, including advanced avionics, electronic warfare PODS, and airborne thermal management systems. The company’s exhibition will feature high-speed point-to-point and point-to-multipoint data links, alongside specialized Ku and Ka-band Satcom-on-the-move solutions,” the firm said.
