
Samsung Campus To Be Joined By Top 20 Indian Institutions in 2020

Today, Samsung kicks off the fifth edition of the campus programme and it is to be joined by students from top 20 B-schools, engineering colleges, and design schools through virtual platforms.
The programme, launched in December 2016, by which Samsung E.D.G.E. delivers opportunities to talented students for showcasing their flairs, exchange ideas, and spearhead their careers.
Ken Kang, President & CEO, Samsung SWA, said, "Over the years, Samsung E.D.G.E. has proved to be an enabler wherein students have the platform to showcase their creative solutions to real-life issues. As we enter the fifth edition of the programme, we are hopeful of getting even more insightful solutions from students.”
Some of the brilliant students from top-notch colleges will be working on real-life problems, converse with Samsung’s top leaders, and offer unique solutions for problems.
A student will be able to form a team of three members from within the campus in the programme course, who can be from different years or specializations.
During the ideation round, teams will be working on research, analysis, brainstorming, and formulating advanced innovative approach, also submit the executive summary, broadly defining their strategy.
Last year, there were 3,873 students participation forming 1,291 teams from 20 leading institutes in the country.
By suggesting “Driving for Change”, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow winning the first prize last year, after which the participants were motivated to deliver the micro issues of local importance and uphold innovative solutions.
