Tata Communications has launched Tata Communications Vayu, an advanced cloud fabric aimed at tackling the increasing difficulties enterprises encounter in managing multi-cloud settings, surging expenses, and the heightened requirements of artificial intelligence infrastructure. This comprehensive solution is designed to streamline cloud operations, cut costs, and promote scalable innovation for companies dealing with the challenges of the digital age.

Vayu combines Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, AI systems, security, and cloud connectivity into a cohesive ecosystem. This consolidation simplifies management, lowers operational expenses, and allows businesses to grow effortlessly without being tied to a vendor. The platform offers a clear pricing structure and integrated financial operations automation, ensuring up to 30% in cost savings, with cuts of 15-25% in relation to leading cloud service providers, and importantly, no data egress fees or concealed charges.

To facilitate the growing use of AI applications, Vayu provides on-demand access to powerful NVIDIA GPUs, enabling AI model training, fine-tuning, and deployment without significant infrastructure costs. The addition of an AI Studio—which includes an AI workbench, model garden, and responsible AI frameworks—enhances innovation by equipping enterprises with vital tools for effectively developing and deploying AI solutions.

The platform’s PaaS offerings streamline application deployment via serverless computing, automatic scaling, and managed database services. Combined DevOps tools, API governance, and microservices architecture streamline workflows, fostering quick innovation without the weight of infrastructure oversight. This vendor-neutral strategy guarantees interoperability across platforms, enabling companies to function across different cloud settings, such as on-premises, multi-tenant, edge, public, or private clouds.

A.S. Lakshminarayanan, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Communications, highlighted the platform’s significance: “As the digital era accelerates, the need for enterprise cloud and AI solutions that balance performance, cost, and sustainability has never been greater. Tata Communications Vayu is more than a product—it will pioneer a new way forward for businesses to integrate, uncomplicate, and innovate.”
