TCS Bags Deal From GE HealthCare

Tata Consultancy Services said that it has been awarded a contract by GE HealthCare, extending a protracted cooperation to alter the latter's IT operational model. Finances for the deal were not made public.By introducing a new operational model for managing GE HealthCare's application estate, the alliance will concentrate on digitally changing the company's worldwide IT function. TCS will oversee the creation, upkeep, standardization, and rationalization of its business IT applications.
 
“Our collaboration with TCS helps us deliver on our purpose to create a world where healthcare has no limits by rapidly addressing evolving patient needs, supporting medical technology research, and promoting investment in truly differentiating care solutions,” said Jahid Khandaker, Chief Information Officer, GE HealthCare.
 
“We are excited to expand this relationship and leverage our deep contextual knowledge and technological expertise to help GE HealthCare develop innovative new healthcare products and services that aim to enhance patient outcomes, while modernizing and supporting their existing application estate,” said Anupam Singhal, Business Head, Corporate Accounts, TCS.
 
An affiliate of the Tata Group and a global Indian provider of IT outsourcing services is Tata Consultancy Services. TCS is the eighth-largest corporation in India in terms of sales and has more than 600,000 employees spread across 150 locations and 46 countries.
